Jammu, August 13
A shutdown was observed in Rajouri town on Friday to protest the grenade attack on BJP leader Jasbir Singh’s house last night that left a three-year-old boy dead and six other people injured.
Scores of people also took out a protest rally denouncing the attack. All shops were shut and there was no traffic on roads in Rajouri town.
Jamp;K BJP president Ravinder Raina said, “Pakistan and its terrorist forces attack soft targets.” Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said the perpetrators would be brought to justice. Jamp;K Congress’ chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma said security should be beefed up. — PTI
