New Delhi, July 20

The government has unveiled fourth Covid sero-survey that reveals the proportion of people who have already been infected. Survey shows 67.6 per cent people — two-thirds of all when extrapolated nationally — have Covid antibodies, meaning one in three still vulnerable.

The survey showed 57.2 per cent children have antibodies as against 67.6 per cent adults.

ICMR said primary schools should be opened first but not until all teachers and support staff have been fully vaccinated. “400 million Indians not infected yet. One in three is still vulnerable and the pandemic in not yet over. People should only travel if fully vaccinated,” said VK Paul during government press conference on Covid.
